TRAILER: Dark Phoenix

Ugh... Ok, so this doesn't look terrible, but there's a lot that isn't working in this film's favor. For one, it looks WAY too similar to X-Men: The Last Stand. From plot points, to specific shots, to the overall trajectory of what the story appears to be, it's all too similar... And if we remember, X-Men: The Last Stand is one of the weakest entries in the X-Men universe. Aside from this, it appears as though Charles, Raven, and Magneto are all playing the same arc they've played for the past three films. The entire approach is getting old. I really wish Disney would find a way to nix the film, and just take the X-Men franchise to the MCU and do it properly!
