Damn... If there's a Marvel film that I've been curious to learn more about, it's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Aside from setting a high bar with its debut, the unexpected passing of Chadwick Boseman raised many questions and brought a real-world loss into the picture. How would Marvel and team honor Chadwick? How would they honor T'Challah. I had a lot of hope, but I also had a lot of fear... And then a saw this trailer, and I was left with chills.
Beautiful! The cinematography. The themes. The performances. Ryan Coogler, the cast, and the crew knew they needed to deliver something special, and they did that and then some. I got emotional watching this, so I can only imagine what this was like for everyone on the team.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will wrap up Phase 4 for Marvel studios. Letitia Wright (Shuri), Danai Gurira (Okoye), Lupita Nyong'o (Nakia), Angela Bassett (Ramonda), Winston Duke (M'Baku), and Martin Freeman (Everett K. Ross) will all return for the sequel. The film will also introduce new characters, Namor (Tenoch Huerta) and Riri Williams/ Iron Heart (Dominique Thorn).
